Sophia Girls’ College (Autonomous), Ajmer provides facilities for Indoor and Outdoor sports and games for students such as- Volleyball, Shooting, Basketball, Badminton, Wrestling, Cricket, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Athletics, Chess, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, Hockey, Softball, Martial Arts, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Handball etc., to help them develop interpersonal skills such as team work, cooperation, accountability, punctuality, trust and leadership.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SESSION (2023-24)

  • The college participated in the 36th Inter Collegiate Tournaments in Kho Kho, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Hockey, Handball (Men and Women), Badminton and Shooting (Men and Women) from the month of October till January.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS FOR THE SESSION (2023-24)

The college celebrated the National Sports Day on the 29th of August, 2023.

It successfully organized the 2nd Mother Matilda Basketball Championship from the 27th – 29th of August, 2023 and 170 players participated in the same.

25 players of the college represented the MDS University in All India/ West Zone Inter University Tournaments in various sports.

The Annual Athletic Meet 2023-24 was organized on the 7th of March, 2023. 450 students participated in this Meet in various events like 100m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m., 4*100 m, Shot Put, Disc Throw and Intramural events namely Basketball, Cricket, Volleyball, Throw Ball and Badminton

The college was declared WINNER in:

  • Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament
  • Intercollegiate Chess Tournament.
  • Intercollegiate Badminton Tournament.
  • Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament for the third consecutive year.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Kritika Sharma from B.A II and V. Vandhana Joytika from B.C.A. II participated in the State Level Yoga Championship.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Rajshree Maniya Rathore from B.A. Pt. III and Daulat Shaktawat from English Hons. II participated in the National Level Shooting Championship.
